How to Set Reverb and Echo Without Muddying the Mix

Echo and reverb are useful, but too much of either can push the voice backward in the mix.

How they differ

Echo repeats the vocal after a short delay.

Reverb simulates the room around the voice and usually sounds more natural.

For karaoke, start subtle. Use more effect on slow songs and less on fast songs where clarity matters more.
